The Accreditation Unit is an independent body with the responsibility of developing the policies and procedures for making accreditation decisions in compliance with the “Medical (Maintenance of Minimum Standards of Medical Education) Regulations No. 01 of 2018” to maintain quality standards of medical schools in Sri Lanka.
